Hello everyone! This time, I will write about The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum (^0^)/

I believe that most of you have known that Osamu Tezuka is a Japanese manga artist who was active from the end of World War II to 1990s. He wrote a lot of popular manga, and one of his biggest hit was the Astro Boy (“S˜rƒAƒgƒ€). In Japan, Osamu Tezuka has become a legendary manga artist. He is one of Japan’s pride and his works are famous not only in Japan, but also very famous outside Japan. His works are highly appreciated all over the world. Because all of his achievements, The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum was established in 1996 to commemorate him. This museum is a very interesting and fun place, and it can be enjoyed by both adults and kids. Let’s see the inside of the museum!

The Entrance of Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum
This building is consisted of 3 floors.
Ground Floor
At the Ground Floor, there’s a small anime production studio. This facility is pretty famous among the visitors, so you need to queue to use this facility. In the deepest part of the studio, there’s Osamu Tezuka’s figure. Everyone participated in this facility were very serious and paid a great attention to the kind staffs. These staffs were the one who patiently taught the visitors how to make an anime. I really recommend this place for people who are interested in anime production field.
  Mini Anime Production Studio
1st Floor
At the 1st Floor, there is an exhibition of Osamu Tezuka’s private property (hand-written note, manga which was created during his elementary school’s time, etc.) and the sample of his works. The way these properties were displayed also very unique. All of the exhibited properties were put in long, transparent tubes. By standing in this hall, you had the feeling of standing in a futuristic lab. This museum probably tried to create the atmosphere of Osamu Tezuka’s work such as Astro Boy and Blackjack, which mainly had future themes. All of the properties in this hall are safely and neatly kept by the museum and it is really easy to understand. A few minutes you spend in this hall will make you closer to Osamu Tezuka.
  Osamu’s Life
Hand-written Note
  Sample of Osamu’s Works
On the same floor, you can see a wall which has a Osamu Tezuka’s Life in details. All of them are summarized neatly so it really easy to understand. If you go deeper, you can find a mini theatre. You can see a special, original anime made by this museum. The anime is aired every day at the scheduled time. I watched “Osamu and Musashi” when I went there. This animation was created by Osamu Tezuka’s son, Makoto Tezuka. This animation has Osamu Tezuka and the bug he captured as the main characters, and this animation teaches us about the importance of lives. This animation was created in 1996, so it’s pretty old. However, it has a mysterious charm which makes you to be able to enjoy this animation even now.
  Astro Boy
Ribbon Knight
  Blackjack
I believed that most of you known these figures. These are some of Osamu Tezuka’s works. In the museum, you can see many figures of Osamu’s characters in various places.
2nd Floor
On the 2nd Floor, there is a space for special exhibition’s use. I was pretty luck when I went there because I got the chance to see the special exhibition of Otomate and Osamu Tezuka. This special exhibition is opened from 4th April to 27th October 2014. The name of this special exhibition is “Delicaotome”. This Delicaotome was sponsored by Japan’s famous otome game’s company, Otomate. In this exhibition, we get the chance to see a collaboration arts of Osamu Tezuka’s and Otomate’s works. There are illustrations of Hakuoki, NORN9, Clock Zero, etc. In this projects, there is a main illustration which combined the characters of Otomate with Osamu Tezuka’s characters. For example, collaboration of “Amnesia and Blackjack”, “Hakuoki and Buddha”, etc. Unfortunately, visitors are prohibited to take pictures of these works, so I can’t upload those. I really recommend this place for Japanese otome games’ lovers!

We are not permitted to take photo of illustrations, but there’s a spot to take pictures.
  NORN9
Amnesia
Besides that, there are souvenir shop, anime search engine, and Osamu Tezuka’s Mini Library. This library is consisted of Osamu Tezuka’s private collection of books. For people who want to buy the original goods of Osamu Tezuka’s Museum, this is the perfect place. There are cellphone’s straps, memos, etc. All of these goods are related to Osamu Tezuka’s works. You can buy souvenirs for your friends and family here. Moreover, for people who want to know more about Osamu Tezuka’s works, this museum provides search engines for Osamu Tezuka’s works. You can also read Osamu Tezuka’s works freely in the mini library.
This ends my article about Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum. For anyone who loves anime and manga, Osamu Tezuka’s fans, and people who want to learn more about animation production, this is a wonderful place. All of adults can feel the nostalgic feeling of your childhood memories, and children can also enjoy a dream-like experience in this place. If you have time, please come and visit this museum!
