This botanical garden used to be a villa owned by Samuel Cocking, a British merchant during the Meiji period. In Manga Tsuritama, kate moved in there and the main character Yuki Sanada and Haru shared the house. The lighthouse located inside of Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden is known as Enoshima sea candle. This is where "Sweet Blue Flowers (Aoi Hana)" is based on.
